DOUGLAS SELDIN
(DOUG, LightShed Theatre Company Artistic Director) is thrilled to have this opportunity to bring this new story to the world. For the last 15 years Doug has worked in the United States as an actor, director, fight director and university professor. Companies and universities include: Shakespeare & Company, Williams College, Proctors Theatre, Saratoga Shakespeare Company, Capitol Repertory Theatre, Adirondack Theatre Festival, WAM Theatre, Bard College, Pittsfield Shakespeare in The Park, Worcester Shakespeare Company, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Seattle Rep, Barrington Stage Company, New England Youth Theatre, Saratoga Shakespeare Company, Boston College, University of Washington, New England Youth Theatre, HomeMade Theatre Company. He recently served on the faculty of Skidmore College and The Hartt School at the University of Harford. Doug holds BS in Theatre from Skidmore College and was founding member of The Conservatory at Shakespeare & Company. This production culminates Doug’s post-graduate studies at Rose Bruford College’s MFA Actor/Performer Training Program. Doug wishes to thank this company of wonderful artists, thinkers, spirits and dreamers for making this world so rich….somewhere in the corner of our minds.
APRIL SINGLEY
(SHE, LightShed Theatre Company Founding Member) An American in England, April is a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Her most recent roles include titular role in HAMLET, Charlotte Bronte in WE ARE THREE SISTERS, and Cornelia in THE WHITE DEVIL. April is a founding member of The Crowbait Club, an organisation for playwrights and actors to workshop together.
BETHANY BARNES
(HER, LightShed Theatre Company Founding Member) Bethany is an actor/singer newly based in London. After playing Andromache in ‘The Trojan Women’ and representing the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as a finalist in the BBC Carleton Hobbs competition, she made her professional debut playing Juliet in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, touring North-West Germany with White Horse Theatre from 2019 to 2020. She has since starred as the Therapist in the short film ‘Black Butterflies’ written and directed by Dean Gribble, which was nominated, and finalists for “Best Indie Short”, “Best Acting Duo” & “Best First Time Director.” at the Independent Shorts Awards 2021 in L.A.
DARA CALLIE SILVERMAN
(Manager, LightShed Theatre Company Founding Member) Dara Callie Silverman is an American actor, director, and teaching artist, and recent postgraduate graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Latest theatrical credits include: Emily (We Are Three Sisters), Count Lodovico (The White Devil), Jennifer (Masterpieces), and Queen Getrude (Hamlet). DAVID BOAN
(Ultrasound Technician, LightShed Theatre Company Founding Member) David Boan, born Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada is a recent graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s MFA acting program. His recent credits include Branwell Brontë, We Are Three Sisters, Flaminio, The White Devil, and Ron, Masterpieces. He is overjoyed to be a part of this exciting, explorative, and brave work.
GIULLIANNA MARTINEZ
(Radiology Technician, LightShed Theatre Company Founding Member) Giullianna Martinez is delighted to be a part of ‘Charted the Musical’. She hails from sunny Los Angeles, CA, where she received her BFA in Acting and worked as both an actor and producer. Her film credits include: Ballroom Dreams (2022), Ultimo Supper (2018) and Max Compact (2017). A 2021 graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, she’s played numerous roles such as Horatio in Hamlet, Viola in Twelfth Night, Miss Robinson in We Are Three Sisters and most recently the titular role of Vittoria in a production of The White Devil at The Crescent Theatre. Now based in the UK, she is passionate about increasing representation of minorities in period pieces and classical theatre. She would like to thank her family, close friends and this beautiful company for their kindness and support.
JOSEPH SCATLEY
(HIM, LightShed Theatre Company Founding Member) Joseph is an actor based in London and a recent graduate from Rose Bruford College. His most recent roles include Pip in ALBATROSS, Phaladan in the short film INCEL and Angelo in MEASURE FOR MEASURE. He was the recipient of a student bursary from Equity as part of the Clarence Derwent awards ceremony.
